Serve it on quinoa to soak up the extra sauce.
Ingredients
1 block of organic tofu
1 small onion
3 cloves of freshly chopped garlic
2 TB freshly grated ginger
3 TB gluten-free tamari
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup water
1 TB olive oil
Directions
- Cut the tofu into 1/2 to 1/4 inch slices.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients and marinate the tofu for about 1/2 an hour.
- Remove the tofu from the marinade. Scrape off the onions and garlic as best as possible. On medium heat, lightly brown the tofu in a cast iron pan. 3-4 minutes on each side should do the trick.
- Pour the marinade on the tofu and serve.
